I'm sure this has already been posted by someone else before, but I'll ask it anyways. I'm bored and its storming outside, so why not? You can post your favorite, your least favorite, etc.
This is my personal favorite.
No, I'm not kidding. What about you guys?

I've always liked these two:

The first one I always thought was good. Just a good and simple commercial.
And you gotta love the Duster in the cocaine factory!

Never seen that one! I like it.

Both very much of their era. In the '80s, Lee Iaccoca was a corporate rockstar that could sell ketchup to Theresa Heinz. Also, cocaine was really popular and MTV used to show a lot of music videos.

Oh, for sure. Especially the Duster one.

"The One". This was the first time I saw or even heard of the Ford GT. This commercial was shown during the 2004 Super Bowl. I almost fell off my chair. BTW, Rod Millen is the driver here.

Nothing too crazy, just old school simple Honda ad.

Bad to the Bone!!! Wish I could find a better copy but the point is there...

All of these:

Haha "You'll never go back to a V8 again!"

This one for the 88 Chevy truck is Hilarious

Just pure awesome. Its greatness lies in its use of raw footage without resorting to camera tricks or CGI. Only one clip in slow mo, the rest is pure Ford GT. Beautiful!

One more for you. The absolute classic.
![]() 09/20/2014 at 20:24 |

Of course, I totally agree! This is a behind the scenes video that is really, really interesting.

1989 Pontiac Grand-Prix. Yeah greaseball. Kiss that random woman in the short skirt, fill the car with legs and shift that bad-ass automatic...dunno why he keeps grabbing the automatic. its automatic.

In the '80s, everyone was still paranoid from the two oil crises in the '70s and the expectation of ever more stringent CAFE requirements, so smaller engines with turbos were thought to be the way of the future.
30 years later, history is repeating itself. V8s, and even V6s, are increasingly endangered species.

I love how the caption at the bottom says "Clearly a professional race car driver on a closed track"

Perfect! :D

It actually syncs up to the video really well.

Me too.........love it!

Pre-86 non intercooled cars were not what one would call quick.. even in the 80's

Steve McQueen is the epitome of cool. There hasn't been anyone that has come close since.

Amen to that.
![]() 09/20/2014 at 21:54 |

Oh yeah, that's an awesome one. That's probably in my top 5 favorites.

![]() 09/20/2014 at 22:53 |
|
Yet another one in my top 5 :D
![]() 09/20/2014 at 22:57 |
|
Because deserts and Celicas and gratuitous usage of the pop-up headlights
![]() 09/20/2014 at 23:42 |
|
Lol how does that help sell the car? The opening shot of the popup headlights made me laugh.
![]() 09/21/2014 at 00:25 |
|
It didn't really, I just love the car, it was my first* car and I miss it. Sold her 27 days ago now :P
*first car I bought. A 1980s FWD Tercel station wagon with 60hp and a 3? speed automatic transmission that a family member forced on me doesn't count, right?
![]() 09/21/2014 at 00:52 |

Ah, I see. Completely valid reason, for sure. I don't mind them at all, and the commercial made me chuckle.
And nah, that doesn't count :D
